The illustrated collection of a book titled “Aram Khachaturian” has been published in English.
The book, published on the occasion of Aram Khachaturian’s 120th birthday anniversary, summarizes the life of the world-famous composer, his activity, tours and concerts, as well as meetings with famous people.
First-person narrative is used in the book. Maestro himself presents his life story in his own words in the book. The book includes the composer’s reflections and expressions, quotes about him, the reactions of foreign musicians and mass media, excerpts from letters, as well as many photographs, brochures, sketches and handwritten notes from the collection of Aram Khachaturian Museum, most of which have been published for the first time.
The collection is filled with rich factual material and historical generalizations, written in simple and attractive language. For both professional musicians and a wide range of music-lovers, it sheds new light on the image of the great composer.
The book also contains multimedia content. With the help of QR codes, the reader has the opportunity to listen to exclusive archive recordings of the most famous works of Aram Khachaturian, performed by the author and famous musicians, as well as excerpts from unique videos and documentary films.
The director of Aram Khachaturian Museum, Armine Grigoryan, and the fund keeper, Anahit Shahmanyan, completed a very important initiative organizing the publishment of the collection “Aram Khachaturian 120”, dedicated to the great composer’s 120th birthday anniversary.
The book was published by “Armav” publishing house with a grant from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the RA.
