Our united efforts are aimed to preserve the rich cultural heritage, promoting and developing one of the most musical memorial museums in Armenia.
The Concept of the Collection Replenishment
Aram Khachaturian Museum discovers and collects materials, cultural values related to the name of Aram Khachaturian, his life and activity, rich creative heritage, in order to preserve, study, popularize and pass them to future generations, appreciating their cultural, scientific, and educational significance. To replenish the Museum’s collection, we ask those individuals, musical organizations, publishing houses, recording studios and other cultural centers in case of having materials related to Aram Khachaturian to donate them to the Museum. With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the House-museum is ready to buy Aram Khachaturian’s handwritten letters, manuscripts of compositions, works of fine art: portraits, sketches, sculptures, etc. from the owners.
The owners can offer their own sale prices.
Applications must be submitted to the Museum's e-mail address. The person submitting the application must have the Expert opinion of the subject in accordance with the state procurement standards, a photograph, the subject's data, the proposed price for the subject's purchase, the consent of the subject's owner. Submitted applications will be reviewed by the Museum at a Museum Assessment commission meeting to confirm the adequacy of the item for the nature of the Museum's collection. In case of approval or rejection of the application by the commission, the Museum informs the applicant.
