Khachaturian Trio

Khachaturian Trio was founded in 1999 as “Arsika”. Since 2008, the trio has been named after the famous Armenian composer, conductor, pedagogue Aram Khachaturian.

Since 2006, the Trio has been performing with the participation of: Armine Grigoryan (piano), Karen Shahgaldyan (violin), Karen Kocharyan (cello).

Khachaturian Trio has given concerts in Vienna (Musikverein), Hamburg (Laiezhalle), Leipzig (Gewandhaus), Munich (Gasteig – Philharmonie), London (Queen Elizabeth Hall), Tokyo (Suntory Hall), Toronto (Koerner Hall), etc.. Trio participated in famous international festivals: Costa Rica (Festival de las Artes), Mexico (Festival International Cervantino), Hamburg (“Russiche Kammermusikfest”), Malta (Malta International Music Festival), etc.

Khachaturian Trio has performed in Central and South America, the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Japan, the Czech Republic, Malta, Moldova, Poland, the Baltic countries, the Middle East, in CIS countries, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Artsakh, etc.

Khachaturian quartet

Khachaturian quartet was established in 1982 in Yerevan by violinist and violist Zareh Sahakyants. Artashes Mkrtchyan had been the head of the Quartet since 1985. The quartet participated in a number of international music festivals held in the USA, Russia, Europe, and Africa.

In 2004, the quartet was reorganized by the violist Vache Hoveyan, who was also the artistic director of the quartet. Various well-known Armenian musicians have performed in the quartet over the years. The quartet performed at festivals and concerts in Armenia, has had concert tours in the Middle East, Cyprus, Italy and other countries.
